Jane Elizabeth Huber, 64, of Honesdale and formerly of Seaford, N.Y., died on Saturday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Dennis Huber.
The Guest Book is expired.
Born on Nov. 3, 1949, in West New York, N.J., daughter of the late James and Mary Abbott McGregor, she was a graduate of Molloy Catholic College in Rockville Centre, N.Y. She was later employed in Nassau County, N.Y., where she was the assistant director of the Department of Child Support, and was a loyal employee for 35 years. In 2007, she retired and moved to Honesdale with her husband. She currently worked at Women's Health Care Center in Honesdale.
She enjoyed pop culture, cooking, shopping and traveling, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Jane's quick wit would light up a room and keep everyone laughing. She loved to spoil her grandkids, and lived to spend time with her expanding family.
Also surviving are her sons, Brian McGregor Huber, Mineola, N.Y.; and Michael McGregor Huber and wife, Krystle, Scranton; her brothers, Peter McGregor and wife, Deidre, Randolph, N.J.; and David McGregor, Mount Sinai, N.Y.; and grandchildren, James, Owen and Annabelle.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Honesdale. As per her request, cremation will follow.
