Lovina M. Dickopf, 83, a longtime resident of the North Pocono area, died Thursday morning at St. Mary's Villa Nursing Home, Elmhurst Twp. She was the widow of Hubert T. Dickopf, who died April 6, 1997. The couple was married 44 years.

Born in Gilboa, N.Y., daughter of the late William T. and Elsie Merwin Buel, she was a graduate of Gilboa High School. She was a former member of Hollisterville Bible Protestant Church.
She was a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt and grandma, who devoted her time and attention to her family. Her brightest stars were her grandchildren, and she enjoyed sharing in their accomplishments. She especially cherished times when all of her family was together.
Surviving are a daughter, Vicki Herman and husband, Gus, Spring Brook Twp.; two sons, Dave, Muncy; and Mike, Lewisburg; two sisters, Hazel and Helen; two brothers, Raymond and LeGrand; six grandchildren, Shannon, Michael, Jessica, Cristina, Alexis and Sarah.
She was also preceded in death by an infant son, William Dickopf; and a sister, Dorothy Graham.
The family wishes to extend its deepest thanks to the staff at St. Mary's Villa for the outstanding care they provided.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 3 First St., Spring Brook Twp., to be officiated by the Rev. Jeff Levy, pastor of Moscow United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Manorkill Cemetery, Conesville, N.Y.
A viewing will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
