Sophie A. Rutsky, 94, of Dickson City, died Saturday evening at Mid-Valley Health Care, Peckville. She was the wife of the late Joseph Rutsky, who died Dec. 19, 1990.

Born in Dickson City, daughter of the late Jacob and Victoria Judzikowski, she was educated in Dickson City public schools and was a member of St. Mary's Visitation Church, Dickson City. She was last employed at Billick Shoe Factory.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be deeply missed.
Surviving are a son, Joseph Rutsky and wife, Kim, Saratoga Springs, N.Y; three grandsons, Joseph Rutsky and wife, Peggy; James Rutsky and wife, Annie; and Kenneth Rutsky and wife, Meredith, all of Saratoga Springs, N.Y; six great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Della Mitnik and Anna Szewczyk; and a brother, Alex Judzikowski.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with Mass at 11:30 at St. Mary's Visitation Church. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Dickson City.
Friends may call Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
