Ann Slaboda, 90, of Olyphant, died Thursday morning at home. She was the widow of Michael J. Slaboda, who died in 1993.

Born in Olyphant, daughter of the late Michael and Cathrine Sesnetsky Capust, she was a graduate of Olyphant High School, and before retirement was employed as an inspector at the former RCA Co. in Dunmore. She was a member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Olyphant, and devoted much of her time to many church events and activities.
She enjoyed playing bingo, quilting and playing cards with her many friends. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by one son, Michael R. Slaboda and wife, Deborah, Hatfield, Pa.; one daughter, Judith Korischar, Scranton; four grandchildren, Katrine and husband, Brian Gobla, Wilkes-Barre; George and wife, Sarah Korischar, London, England; Michael Paul and wife, Heather Slaboda, Souderton, Pa.; and Melanie and husband, Michael Clark, Souderton, Pa.; along with three great-grandchildren, Haley and Jacob Gobla and Olivia Rose Slaboda.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the John J. Turko & Sons Funeral Home, 404 Susquehanna Ave., Olyphant, with Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. in SS. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, River Street, Olyphant, to be celebrated by the Rev. Nestor Iwasiw, pastor. Interment, Parish Cemetery, Peckville.
Friends may call Monday from 5 until 8 p.m. A parastas service will be at 7 p.m.
