Timothy Ferguson died on July 19, 2014 at home in his apartment in the Hopewell building in Harrisburg, Pa., due to complications of his respiratory disease. He was 27 years old and was the son of Thomas and Geraldine McGinnis Ferguson. He was born on Sept. 27, 1986, in Wyoming County, Pa.

Tim's short life was full of various interests. For several years he was on the swim team at the YMCA and was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout as well. Tim played soccer, baseball and basketball.
Playing the piano by ear was a special talent, and he also liked to paint pictures. Tim loved playing video games and reading science fiction novels.
Tim attended the Howard Gardner School, St. Clare's School, St. Paul's School, Carbondale schools, Kidspeace School and Scranton High School. He was so proud to finally get his GED in Smithfield, Pa., in 2011.
For a brief time, Tim was an author of short stories. He loved animals and dreamed of a career working with them in some capacity.
Fond of new starts, Tim was always trying to find a path for himself and was doing well at that in Harrisburg. The family would like to thank Tim White and his mother, Marsha from AMiracle4Sure who were staunch advocates in his recent life.
Besides his parents, Tim is survived by his brother, Dr. EJ Ferguson, his wife, Atty. April Joyce and their children, Sam and Owen. Also surviving are grandmother, Geraldine McGinnis; 11 aunts and uncles and their spouses; and 36 first cousins.
Tim was preceded in death by two infant siblings, Gregory and Anna; grandparents, Thomas and Jane Ferguson and Dr. Eugene McGinnis.
The funeral will be held Friday from the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. from St. Paul's Church, 1510 Penn Ave. Everyone attending Mass is asked to proceed directly to church. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, 4 to 7 p.m.
