Lisa Marie Gurley Adalian, of Dalton, died unexpectedly Friday, July 18, 2014 at home. She is survived by her husband, Gregory Adalian.

Raised in Scranton, she was the daughter of Anne Carlacci Gurley and the late James Randall Gurley. She is survived by sisters, Cindy and husband, Christopher Oberle; Donna and husband, Ruben Medina, all of California; as well as aunts, uncles, several nieces and nephews.
Lisa attended Mother Cabrini elementary school and was a graduate of West Scranton Central Catholic High. Lisa continued her academic studies at the University of Scranton and was a University Player. Lisa went on to receive her bachelor's degree from the University of Las Vegas at Nevada.
Lisa was the cantor at Corpus Christi Church in Montdale for nine years, prior to that she also was a cantor at St. Thomas More, Church in Vista, California. She served her ministry for 21 years in the Catholic Church. She received all of her sacraments at St. Lucy's Church.
Lisa was elected Republican Committeewoman in and for Abington Twp. in June, 2014.
Lisa appeared in TV shows, such as "One Life to Live" and movies, including "The Entity," "Torchlight" and "A Bunny's Tale". Lisa also starred in many stage productions. More recently, Lisa released a CD entitled, "Carry Me Away". She was also the host of "Northeast Current" on ION television.
The funeral will be conducted on Friday from the Guido-Fiorillo Funeral Home, 120 South Main Ave., with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Lucy's Church, 949 Scranton St. Everyone attending is asked to proceed directly to church. Interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Lisa had a great love for animals, and contributions may be sent in her name to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Rd., South Abington Twp., PA 18411.
