Robert R. Grecco, 66, a resident of the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center, died Wednesday at the center.

Born in Moosic, son of the late Joseph Sr. and Irene Grabowski Grecco, he was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School class of 1965 and was formerly employed by Moses Taylor Hospital. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Parish. He was an avid Yankees and New York Giants football fan. He was a loving son, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of both the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for all the care and compassion shown to Robert.
Surviving are a brother, Joseph Grecco Jr.; and a sister, Barbara Bogaski and husband, Robert, all of Scranton; an uncle, Anthony Grecco, Carbondale; nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews.
The funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the August J. Haas Funeral Home Inc., 202 Pittston Ave., with Mass at 10 a.m. in Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church, St. Paul of the Cross Parish, 1217 Prospect Ave., to be celebrated by the Rev. Scott Sterowski, pastor. Interment, parish cemetery, Minooka section.
Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gino J. Merli Veterans Center, 401 Penn Ave., Scranton, 18503; or to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Drive, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
