Robert J. Febbo Jr., 41, of Old Forge, died Monday at home from complications of diabetes.

Born in Savannah, Ga., son of James and Barbara Bernabei Dalessandro and Robert J. and Patricia Febbo Sr., all of Old Forge, he was a graduate of Old Forge High School, where he was a member of the 1992 State Championship baseball team. He also received his education at Lackawanna County Community College. Recently, Bob was employed by Amazon.com, a job that he greatly enjoyed. Of Roman Catholic faith, he attended St. Peter's Cathedral in Scranton often.
He was a true New York Yankee fan and also enjoyed watching NASCAR. A proud AA participant, his life was a testament to his faithfulness.
Also surviving are a sister, Melissa Plappert and husband, Michael, of Langhorne; two brothers, Christopher Febbo and wife, Melanie; and Matthew Febbo, all of Old Forge; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. from the Victor M. Ferri Funeral Home, Robert J. Gillette, funeral director, 522 Fallon St., Old Forge, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Mary of the Assumption Church at Prince of Peace Parish, West Grace St., Old Forge, to be celebrated by the Rev. August A. Ricciardi, pastor. Interment will follow in Old Forge Cemetery.
