Joseph M. Lozinger, 82, of Scranton, died Tuesday at home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Carmella Micciche Lozinger. The couple celebrated 57 years of marriage on June 8.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Joseph and Helen Risinko Lozinger, he was a graduate of West Scranton High School and prior to retirement was employed by Matthews Paint. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors, either hunting, fishing or gardening, and his hobby was making furniture. Joe was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed.
Also surviving are a granddaughter, Carrie Lynn Lozinger; and a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Lozinger; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph V. Lozinger; a brother, John Lozinger; and a sister, Vera Halat.
The funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann St., Scranton, PA 18504, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Ann's Basilica. Entombment, Cathedral Cemetery.
