Theodore "Ted" Warney, 84, of Throop, died Sunday evening at the Lackawanna Health and Rehab Center.

Born in Throop, son of the late Salvatore and Florence Abbott Warney, he lived in New Jersey and Throop during his life. Of the Catholic faith, he was educated in Throop schools, and was a retired self-employed drywall contractor in New Jersey.
Surviving are a sister, Joann Mutalo and husband, Frank Mutalo, Yardley; and two sons, Jon Warney, Jessup; and Theodore Warney, Philadelphia.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel and Robert Warney; and two sisters, Lillian and Arlene.
A graveside service will be held Monday at noon at the Mount Carmel Cemetery, Dunmore, by Monsignor Michael J. Delaney. Interment will follow.
Arrangements are by the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home, Throop.
