Romayne Setta Russen Walker, R.N., formerly of Clarks Summit, died Sunday morning. Her husband, Edward Walker, a former Pennsylvania State Trooper, died in 1961.

Born in Jessup, daughter of the late Attilio "Tyler" and Loretta Wontroski Setta and stepfather, Victor Russen, she was educated in Olyphant schools, and was a 1944 graduate of Olyphant High School. She also graduated from Keystone Junior College and the Scranton State General Hospital School of Nursing, where she became a registered nurse. Before her illness, she was employed by Johnson Towing Company of Dickson City.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and sister. She loved to dance, and was an excellent cook. She was very proud of the fact that she cooked many, many meals for the late Dale Earnhardt and his Richard Childress teams. She loved all animals, especially her dog, Zahee #2.
Surviving are two daughters, Romayne Lahnemann and husband, Ingo, Tunkhannock; and Melanie Mackarey and husband, Bud, Clarks Summit; nieces and nephews, including Michael Gratz and Dr. Richard Gratz, both of Clarks Summit.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Gratz.
The funeral will be private, conducted at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the family home of Clarks Summit.
