Michael Capulish, of Scranton, died Monday at Regional Hospital of Scranton. He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend, the former Mary Lescinsky, and they celebrated their 54 wedding anniversary Jan. 9.

Born in Scranton, son of the late George and Theresa Dench Capulish, he served our country during the Korean War. Mike retired from General Dynamics, where he worked for many years. He was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Byzantine Catholic Church, Scranton.
For many years, Mike was a cantor. He loved God, and singing praise brought him much comfort. He adored his daughter and granddaughter.
Also surviving are a daughter, Debra Capulish-Stivala and fiancé, Kenneth Miller; a granddaughter, Marlessa Stivala; and a sister, Ann Butka; nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, a twin brother, Joseph, George and John.
The funeral will be Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 in St. Mary of the Assumption Byzantine Catholic Church, 310 Mifflin Ave., Scranton. Interment with military honors will follow in Abington Hills Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. Parastas services will be at 6:30.
