Thomas J. Fadden, Scranton, died Monday evening at home.
Born in Scranton, son of Joseph J. and Lois Kunda Fadden, Scranton, he was a graduate of Scranton Central High School class of 1991 and received a bachelor's degree in arts and sciences from Dickinson College, Carlisle, class of 1995.
He was a certified teacher at Lackawanna Trail High School, where he also coached the football team. He also taught in the Scranton School District for two years. After his time teaching, he worked in the community relations office of the Mayor of New York City under the Honorable Rudolph Giuliani and most recently he served as a political consultant. He was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church. While a student at Dickinson College, he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and the football team.
He was a beloved son and brother who was devoted to his family.
Also surviving are two brothers, J.J. Fadden and wife, Michele, Boston; and Darron Fadden and wife, Jessica, Pittston; a niece, Lillian Harper; aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Joseph and Margaret Fadden; and maternal grandparents, Michael and Louise Kunda.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday at noon in Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church, by Monsignor Joseph P. Kelly. Entombement of cremains will follow at Cathedral Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10 until Mass time at the Knight O'Donnell Funeral Home, 323 William St., Scranton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Commons, 504 Penn Ave., Scranton, PA 18509.
