Stephen J. Bader of Archbald died Tuesday afternoon at Commonwealth Hospice of NEPA. He was the husband of Terri Alunni Bader. They had been married 26 years.

Born in Scranton, son of Carol Ross Bader and the late Jack Bader, he attended and was a graduate of Lakeland High School, class of 1977. He was a member of Christ the King Parish in Archbald. Before his brief illness, he was employed by Banko North Inc.
Steve enjoyed golf, going to the casinos and playing the lottery. He was a dedicated employee who appreciated his company and co-workers for their friendship and generous support. His wife, Terri, was his star in the sky and their love had no bounds. He was kind and generous to a fault to all of the people that he knew. His family loved him deeply.
A special thank you goes out to the medical staff of Regional Hospital of Scranton and to Commonwealth Hospice for the care and kindness shown to Steve during his stay.
His family would also like to extend its appreciation to the people who worked so hard to make the benefit for him such a great success. He was ever so grateful for the generosity shown to him.
Also surviving are brothers, Wayne and companion, Beth, Scranton; Robert, Spring Brook Twp.; and Ken, Moscow; brothers-in-law, James and wife, Aileen Alunni, Archbald; and Richard and wife, Robin Alunni, Jessup; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth and husband, Anthony Touch, Archbald; Barbara Cappellini, Jessup; Linda Alunni and companion, Jeff Spencer, Peckville; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, John.
The funeral will be Monday from the Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church St., Archbald, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald. Interment, parish cemetery.
