Angelo J. Sabbatini, of Mehoopany, died Wednesday evening at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on Dec. 10, 1937, son of the late Romolo and Viola Lawrence Sabbatini, Angelo was an Air Force veteran, and for more than 40 years he was employed as a bricklayer by Local 5 of the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Union. He was a member of the Black Walnut American Legion.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Sherry Jennings Sabbatini; son, Anthony, Scranton; daughters, Debra Barcklow and husband, Alec, Bear Creek; Theresa Smicherko and husband, Jerry, Avoca; and Wendy Carey, Jenningsville; a brother, Raymond Sabbatini and wife, Tina, Wyoming; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Stowell.
