Ann Voytek, 89, a lifelong resident of Dunmore, died Friday morning in Geisinger Community Medical Center. She was the wife of the late George A. Voytek, who died in 1997.

Born in Dunmore, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Sakulich Barnick, Ann was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish and the former All Saints Church in Dunmore. She was a graduate of Dunmore High School, and worked for the A&P in Dunmore and then Servomation Corp. at Marywood University.
Most importantly, she dedicated her life to caring for her family.
Her family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Geisinger Community Medical Center and Allied Skilled Nursing and Home Health for the care and compassion shown to Ann.
Surviving are three daughters, Ann "Nina" Chiaro and her husband, Richard, Scranton; Mary M. Davies and her husband, Timothy, Olyphant; and Jeanne Voytek and her friend, Mark Fair, Dunmore; a grandson, Dr. Christopher Chiaro, State College; two sisters, Theresa Dziedzic, Maryland; and Catherine Guzinski, Shenandoah; a brother, Frank Barnick, Port Charlotte, Fla.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Mallas and Claire Rostkowski; and four brothers, Andrew, John, Joseph and George Barnick.
The funeral will be Monday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church, Chestnut Street, Dunmore. Interment will take place in the St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery in the Minooka section of Scranton.
