William T. Kelly, 43, of Scott Twp., was called home after a long and courageous battle with cancer at Commonwealth Hospice at the Regional Hospital of Scranton. His wife is the former Katrina Kolebuk.

Born in Scranton, son of Mary Kay Hamilton Kelly, Carbondale, and the late William T. Kelly, he attended St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. He attended Carbondale Area High School and Johnson College, where he completed the diesel mechanic program. He was employed as the general manager at Redline Towing, Dickson City.
He loved golf and NASCAR, and he was a Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan. He was also a diehard Oakland Raiders fan. He enjoyed his motorcycle, his dog, Mickey, and his job. He was devoted to his family and friends.
Also surviving are a son, William T. Kelly Jr., Blakely; a stepdaughter, Leanne Kolebuk, Blakley; a stepson, Eric Peoples, Scott Twp.; a sister, Mary Ann Prokarym, Harrisburg; a brother, Sean Kelly, Carbondale; a niece, Angela; a nephew, Dean; and several cousins, aunt and uncles.
The funeral will be Monday from the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home Inc., 55 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. As per his request, cremation will follow.
Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. All those attending the funeral are asked to go directly to the church.
