Carol A. Holland, 69, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died Thursday at Regional Hospital of Scranton.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Frank and Ethel Keib Geotz, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. Until her retirement, she worked with the State Insurance Department as a claims adjuster. She was a member of Hickory Street Presbyterian Church, Scranton.

Surviving are a son, Mark Holland, Scranton; three sisters, Kathy Wadika, Melanie Matyewicz and Laurie Sandrowicz, all of Scranton; a brother, Glen Geotz; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral will be private with cremation to follow in Brian Arthur Strauch Cremation Center and Crematory, Lehigh Twp.

A viewing will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 602 Birch St., Scranton, PA 18505.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hickory Street Presbyterian Church, 435 Hickory St., Scranton, PA 18505.
