Mary A. Rovinsky, 89, of Peckville, died Sunday at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, after a brief illness. Her husband, the late John Rovinsky, died Jan. 15, 2010. They were married 57 years.
She was born in Mayfield on March 5, 1931, the daughter of the late George and Mary (Wojdacz) Bilski. She was a member of the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Dickson City. She was also a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Shopa Davey VFW Post 6082, Peckville.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She enjoyed watching soap operas and going to church and the hairdresser. She cherished visits from her nephew, Frank Giovagnoli, and her great-grandchildren.
Surviving are a son, Jerry Rovinsky and wife, Kate, Archbald; a daughter, Jane Tomkavage and companion, Bob Simonik, both of Peckville; six grandchildren, Robert Tomkavage, Peckville; Michael Rovinsky and wife, Maura, Fairport, N.Y.; Scott Rovinsky, New York City; Anne Joyce and husband, Frank, Liverpool, N.Y.; Peter Rovinsky and wife, Lisa, Waymart; and Jennifer Rovinsky and fiancé, Jeff McHale, Archbald; six great-grandchildren, Maeve and Matthew Rovinsky, Ronan Joyce, and Zach, Mia and Noah Rovinsky; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Peter Rovinsky; six sisters, Stella Weber, Veronica Huchenski, Margaret Naholnik, Anna Zavacki, Josephine Kopa and Julia Giovagnoli; and four brothers, Joseph, Stanley, Walter and Peter Bilski.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Dickson City.
A viewing will be held at the convenience of the family at the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home Inc., Dickson City. To send an online condolence, visit the funeral home website.

At. Mary was a great daughter,sister aunt,mother grandma,great grandma and wife. She was funny and she and unc. John were such a great team. She will be greatly missed by all. Love, niece Sharon
