Carol Lynn Hoffman, 44, a resident of Gouldsboro for the past 20 years, died Thursday in Community Medical Center. Her husband of 20 years is Dennis Hoffman.

Born in New Jersey, she was the daughter of Anna Tester Beam, Scranton, and the late Frederick Beam. She attended Great Meadows Elementary School and was a graduate of Hackettstown High School. She earned her cosmetology and phlebotomy licenses. She was employed as a truck dispatcher at Versicold Inc., where she was a best friend and a wonderful co-worker. She was also a student of the New York Institute of Photography. She was of the Presbyterian faith.

Carol Lynn was a loving and giving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved taking pictures, and her passions in life were photography, gardening and being with family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Carol's loving and generous heart lives beyond the grave. As a final act of kindness, Carol's organs have been donated to others so that they may experience longer and more meaningful lives.

Surviving are two sons, Philip J. Hoffman and Thomas J. Hoffman, both of Gouldsboro; a daughter, Amanda Hoffman, Gouldsboro; her companion of 14 years, Richard Dillahey; a granddaughter, Autumn Ann; two sisters, Gwendolyn Corley, Spring Brook Twp.; and June McNeil, New Jersey; two brothers, Arthur Beam, Gouldsboro; and Frederick Beam, Maine; many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Home, Route 690 and First Street, Spring Brook Twp. Interment, Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows, N.J.
