Nikki Tara Hertzog, 30, wife of Philip James Hertzog of Schwenksville, died on Thursday at her home.

She was born in Tunkhannock to Linda Bisch Pencek, of Nicholson, and the late Gary Pencek. Nikki graduated from Lackawanna Trail High School, Luzerne County Community College and also attended Temple University. Mrs. Hertzog was also an active member of the NorthPointe Community Church as well as its Womens' Ministry.

In addition to her husband of five years and mother, Mrs. Hertzog is survived by her beautiful daughter, Emma Rose Hertzog, at home; her brother, Robert Atkinson, and wife, Mary, Pikeville, N.C.; grandparents, Richard and Bertha Benton, Tunkhannock; father and mother-in-law, Mark and Kathleen Hertzog, Silverdale; and three sisters-in-law, Sarah McKay and husband, Tom, Quakertown; Liz Hertzog, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Anna Hertzog, Silverdale.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Berean Bible Church, 2675 E. High St., Pottstown, on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Randy Johnson, pastor. Burial will be in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick. Friends will be received from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested in Nikki's memory to NorthPointe Community Church, 456 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick, PA 19468, please memo checks with Nikki Hertzog, proceeds will benefit the Womens Ministries which comforted and supported Nikki.
