Helen Krolikowski, 95, of Cresco, died Tuesday after a brief stay in the Jewish Home, Scranton. Her husband, William Krolikowski, died Sept. 16, 1999.

Born in Old Forge on March 14, 1915, daughter of the late John and Frances Nowakowski Yarema, Helen was educated in Old Forge schools and before retiring, she worked as a dress maker for the Theresa Dress Co. in Old Forge. Of the Roman Catholic faith, she was a longtime member of St. Michael's Church. A member of the Polish National Alliance, Helen loved to crochet and quilt but always found her greatest joy in visiting with her granddaughters. A loving mother, grandmother and friend, she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by a son, William Krolikowski and wife, Mary Ann, Cresco, with whom Helen resided for six years; three granddaughters, Robin Krolikowski, Malden, Mass.; Jennifer Krolikowski, Kinnelon, N.J.; and Jill Krolikowski, Taylor.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Walter and John Yarema; and two sisters, Julia Schaub and Alice McNichol.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Louis T. Kaminski on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Lawrence and West Grace streets, Old Forge. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the church on Monday from 9 until the Mass. Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P.
