Patrick J. "Pooper" Toole, 63, of Scranton, died Tuesday morning at the Regional Hospital in Scranton.

Born in Scranton on Oct. 31, 1948, son of the late William and Dorothy Phillips Toole, Patrick was a graduate of South Scranton Catholic High School. He served a five-year pipefitting apprenticeship before joining Local 524 of the Pipefitters Union. Most recently, he was employed by My Mother's Delicacies in Scranton. Of Roman Catholic faith, he enjoyed collecting coins, and his favorite pastimes were bowling and playing softball. A loving father, brother and grandfather, he will be dearly missed.
He is survived by two children, Joseph Patrick Toole, Kingston, N.Y.; and Kelly Jean Toole-Sartin and husband, Shawn, Swoyersville; four brothers, Jeffrey Toole and wife, Lee, Dalton; William Toole and wife, Jennifer; and Robert and Joseph Toole, all of Scranton; two sisters, Deborah Bohn and husband, Peter, Madison Twp.; and Mary Jean Schloder, Lake Winola; six grandchildren; several nephews and nieces.
His family would like to thank his dear and loyal friend, Linda Ancherani, who had cared for him until the very end.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Church St., Moscow, to be celebrated by the Rev. Bryan Wright, assistant pastor.
