Jim Williams Sr. of North Scranton died Saturday at home after an illness. His wife of 38 years is the former Mary Lu Stefalo.

Born in Scranton, son of the late William Decicco and Betty Williams, he was a lifelong resident of North Scranton. Before retirement, he owned and operated Jim Williams Surplus and Recycling and he also owned Abbey Gales Pub.

He was of the Protestant faith, a member of the Elmhurst Country Club and the Tauras Club. Jim was a lifelong Republican and the president of the Scranton Zoning Board.

Also surviving are sons, Jim Williams Jr. and companion, Megan Kane; and Keith; daughters, Stephanie Marzolino and husband, David; Elizabeth "Babe" Williams and Sandra Williams, all of Scranton; and five grandchildren, James III, Abby, Cloie and Patrick Williams, and Jade Marzolino.

Private services will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
