Norma A. Solomon, 86, of Eynon, died Saturday at home. Her husband is Michael J. Solomon. The couple was married for 65 years.

Born in Eynon, she was the daughter of the late William and Raymonda Lavalle Lemoncelli. A lifelong Eynon resident, she was a former member of Our Lady of Vilna Church and, most recently, a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville. Educated in Eynon schools, she graduated from Archbald High School and Madam Fenwick's Academy of Cosmetology. She owned beauty shops in Jessup and Eynon. She was a past member and, for 13 years, past president of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers of Our Lady of Vilna Church. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a member of Wozniak-Pavloski VFW Post 7963 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a den mother of Cub Scout Pack 45 and a member of Mid-Valley Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.

Also surviving are two sons, Kenneth and wife, Jackie, Peckville; and Keith and wife, Sharon, Johnson City, N.Y.; a sister, Mary Gravine, Eynon; grandchildren, Ken Solomon and wife, Jennifer, Eynon; Keith and wife, Dr. Elana Beckerman, Chicago; and Jeff Solomon, Johnson City; five great-grandchildren, Sarah, Nicholas, Ronan, Galen and Tristan; several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Leo Lemoncelli.

The funeral will be Monday from the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St., Peckville, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Peckville. Interment, St. Francis Cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m.
