Lois M. Lamond, 73, of Stewartstown, formerly of New Freedom, Pa., died Thursday at her home. She was the widow of Robert F. Lamond.

Born April 7, 1939, in Scranton, daughter of the late Daniel W. and Francis M. Morgan Jenkins, Lois was raised by her maternal grandmother. Following her marriage to Robert, she raised her family, then received her Realtor license. She worked with several local realty companies from 1985 until 2010. She was a member of the Shrewsbury Assembly of God for many years. Lois was a woman who touched hundreds of lives with her loving and giving nature. She will be remembered and greatly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Lamond and wife, Melody, Red Lion; and Kevin Lamond, York; six grandchildren, Melissa, Nichole, Kelsey, Robert, Jamie and Benjamin Lamond; a brother, Dr. William D. Jenkins, Grand Island, N.Y.; and an unborn great-grandson, Brayden.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, Pa., with Pastor Robert S. Harris officiating. Interment is private at the convenience of the family in New Freedom Cemetery.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, 10 to 11. The family will provide flowers and would appreciate memorial contributions to Hospice & Community Care, 224 St. Charles Way, Suite 200, York, PA 17402; or SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
