Alice Williams, 63, of Dunmore, died Thursday at the Visiting Nurses Association Hospice at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton after a brief battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Jim.

A lifelong Dunmore resident, daughter of the late Michael and Albina Tielli, Alice was a 1967 graduate of Dunmore High School and a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish, Dunmore.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt and nothing made her happier than cooking for her family and friends. She was at her happiest when everyone was together, enjoying each other's company and her home-cooked meals.

Also surviving are a daughter, Nicole; and a son, Jim, both of Dunmore; a sister, Patricia Smith, Dunmore; a brother, Frank Tielli, Florida; several nephews and cousins.

The family would also like to extend a special thanks to the staff of the VNA Hospice.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Morell-LaBelle Funeral Home, 301 Chestnut St., Dunmore, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in St. Anthony's Church, Smith Street, Dunmore. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.

Friends may call Monday, 5 to 8 p.m.
