Gladys D. Daniels, 97, a resident of Spring Brook Twp. for nearly 70 years, died Nov. 9 at St. Mary's Villa Nursing Home, Elmhurst Twp. She was the wife of the late William R. Daniels Sr.

Born in Bradford County, she was the daughter of the late Effie and Jesse H. Dickerson. Before retiring, Gladys was employed by the North Pocono School District. She was a member of the Spring Brook United Church of Christ and the Spring Brook Cemetery Association.
Gladys enjoyed sewing, crafts, crossword puzzles and having dinner with her family. Her family wishes to express special thanks to Judy and Dave Jones, Ned George, Mike George, Bob Cappeloni and the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Mary's Villa for the extraordinary care they gave to Gladys.
She is survived by her daughter, Maryann Montione and her husband, Charles, Orlando, Fla.; her son, William R. Daniels Jr. and his fiancée, Gayle Haak; granddaughter, Kristen Miles; grandson, Samuel Montione; three great-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Hollenback; and her brother, Lucius.
Arrangements are private and entrusted to the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3 First St., Spring Brook Twp.
