Donald T. Emmi of Clarks Summit, formerly of Scranton, died Thursday at Moses Taylor Hospital following an illness. His wife is the former Georgean Miller.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Gloria Pettinato Emmi. He was educated in Scranton schools and was a graduate of Lackawanna College. Prior to his illness, he was employed by Lackawanna County Coordinated Transportation System.
Donald was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan; he is watching the game today from heaven in the best seat in the house. Attending the many sports activities of his children brought him great joy. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Also surviving are a daughter, Michelle Emmi Slowik and husband, Michael, Gouldsboro; two sons, Donald and wife, Jennifer, Evergreen, Colo., and A.J., Tunkhannock; stepdaughters, Michelle Hyde and husband, Matthew, Dalton, and Heather Seliga, Eagleville; a stepson, Christopher Seliga, Raleigh, N.C.; five grandchildren, Christian, Patrick, Vincent, Owen and Page, and a granddaughter on the way; and two sisters, Diane Vitaletti and husband, Rick, Clarks Summit, and Debbie Emmi and her companion, Victor, Scranton.
Private funeral services will be from the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., Scranton, at the convenience of the family. No public calling hours are scheduled.
