Charlotte B. Krause, 88, of Peckville, died Saturday at the Forest City Nursing and Rehab Center. She was the widow of Louis "Corky" Krause.

Born in Peckville, daughter of the late Erwin and Hildred Lutz Clark, she attended Scott schools. Before retirement, she worked in the Mid Valley Silk Mill and the Mid-Valley Hospital, both in Peckville. Charlotte lived in California and Montana until moving back to the area in 1999, and she lived in Carbondale before her illness.
She is survived by a son, Carl Krause and his wife, Michele, of Peckville; a daughter, Kimberly Serfes of Stockette, Mont.; three grandchildren, Jeff Krause, Carla Fitch and Louis Serfes; three great-grandchildren, Rachael, Eric and Charles; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Leona Martin; and a brother, Alvin Clark.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Union Cemetery, Peckville.
