William W. Hobbs, 63, of Factoryville, died Friday morning surrounded by his family at his home. The son of the late Worthington William and Jean Evelyn Walton Hobbs, born in Scranton on September 5, 1949. His wife of 45 years is the former Dorothy Ross.

He worked at Sandvik Steel for thirty years. Enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, hunting and spending time with family and friends.
Predeceased by sisters, Jean Hobbs, Donna Watson; and a brother, Howard J. Hobbs.
Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Peggy Hobbs and her partner, Joan King of Old Forge; and Felicity Ayers, at home; two sisters, Debbie Hazlak of Fleetville; and Sharon Myers of Nicholson; a brother, James Sherman of Scranton; granddaughter, Jessica Hobbs; and grandson, Patrick and his wife, Krista King; and three people he thought of as his children, James Ross, Megan Ayers, Aaron Evancavich; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Monday at 7 p.m. from the Anthony P. Litwin Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds St., Factoryville, with Rev. Paul Fields II officiating.
