George W. Crossman, 90, formerly of Waymart, died Thursday evening at the Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Florence Myers-Crossman; and his second wife, Doris Howell-Crossman.

Born Oct. 7, 1922, in Dalton, he was the son of the late Rev. G. Fay and Mildred Blewett Crossman. He was a graduate of Pleasant Mount High School and operated heavy equipment for most of his life. He was also employed in the machine shop of B.W. Elliott in Binghamton, N.Y. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Union and the Clinton Center Baptist Church, Waymart.
He is survived by two sons, Ellis Crossman of Kerens, W.Va.; and Ezra Crossman of Johnson City, N.Y.; two brothers, Harold Crossman of Oregon; and Theodore Crossman of Michigan; and five grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Timothy Crossman; two brothers, Milo and Robert Crossman; and one sister, Eleanor Lockyer.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Clinton Center Baptist Church, Waymart, with Pastor Don Hickey, officiating. Inurnment, Green Grove Cemetery, Pleasant Mount.
