James E. Felton of Honesdale, formerly of Scranton, died Tuesday at home after an illness. His wife is the former Sherry Bartoli Hazen.

Born in Binghamton, N.Y., son of the late Guy Lynn and Emma Jean Smith, he proudly served in the Navy. Before his illness, he was employed at Moses Taylor Hospital in the housekeeping department.
An avid golfer and fisherman, he was a member of several golf leagues, including Pine Hills. He was a great fan of the New York Yankees and the Green Bay Packers. He loved the Packers.
James had a wonderful sense of humor. He lived life to the fullest, the ultimate social butterfly, he made friends very easily and was fun to be with. He also liked to travel, taking many memorable trips with his wife.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Heartland Hospice, especially nurse Judy. Also surviving are two brothers, Jeff and Randy; five stepchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., Scranton, with the Rev. Dr. K. Frederick Mauger, chaplain of Moses Taylor Hospital, officiating. Interment, Union Dale Cemetery.
