Alberta Correll Obituary
Born in Binghamton, N.Y., daughter of the late Frederick B. and Mary B. Walsh Breidenstein, she was a member of First United Methodist Church, Carbondale. She was a graduate of Honesdale High School, class of 1943. Before retirement, she was employed as a switchboard operator at Hendrick Manufacturing Co., Carbondale. She and her husband were very active in numerous local square-dancing clubs, including the Pioneer Pomanders, Abington Alamanders, Round Dance Club and Happy Footers. They were also charter members of the Rare Squares Dance Club of Honesdale. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was president of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
Surviving are a sister, Betty A. Ross and husband, Francis F., Simpson; a brother, James P. Breidenstein and wife, Katherine, Fruit Cove, Fla.; a cherished cousin, Albert Tyson; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Retired Navy Cmdr. John F. Breidenstein.
The funeral will be Thursday with graveside services at 11 a.m. in Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart, by the Rev. Doug Posegate, pastor First United Methodist Church of Carbondale. Arrangements by the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home Inc., 55 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dessin Animal Shelter, 138 Miller Drive, Honesdale, PA 18431 or to the donor's favorite charity.

My deepest sympathy to Jim and Kathy and Betty and family. Bert was such a vivacious, kind and caring, people- person. She loved life. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. May she rest peacefully in the arms of her Maker as she is reunited with her beloved "Red".

Alberta was a beautiful,and classy woman with a wonderful personality. A frequent customer of Ray's Market (Waymart). She will be missed. She reminded me of an Aunt of mine, so I took to her right away! She was always dressed beautifully, and will be remembered by me personally because of her classy purple attire. Miss her already!

We are sorry to here of Bert's passing. Sandy and I square danced with her and Red for many years. Bert was one of my biggest fans when I played guitar and sang at places. She will be greatly missed especially her laugh.
