Geraldine Bracey, 82, a longtime resident of the North Pocono area, died Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter. She was the widow of William J. Bracey, who died in 1991. The couple was married 38 years.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Bernard and Elizabeth Simonson Fanning, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and earned a nursing degree from St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing, Scranton. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Moscow.
Surviving are four daughters, Karen Bernavage and husband, William, Madison Twp.; Maureen Smith and husband, Glenn, Madison Twp.; Kimberly Bracey, Madison Twp.; and Michele Balish and husband, Bruce, Covington Twp.; two sons, William G. Bracey and wife, Susan, Madison Twp.; and Timothy Bracey and wife, Gloria, Covington Twp.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Ann Bracey.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Church St., Moscow, to be celebrated by the Rev. Robert Simon, pastor. Interment will be private in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow.
