Daniel Lomax Obituary
Born in Philadelphia on Nov. 3, 1957, he was an active police officer for Forest City, Great Bend and Mayfield communities. As well as a volunteer firefighter for Factoryville Fire Company, Scott Twp., Meredith and numerous other communities.
He was preceded in death by his biological parents, John Sr. and Ammie Boyd Lomax; his father, Jack Brower; brother, Timmy Brower; and twin sister, Fannie Lomax.
Surviving are mother, Gloria Stabinski of Factoryville; a son, Danny Lomax Jr. of Delaware; sisters, Jackie and Kim Brower, both of Factoryville; and April Ryan of Pocono Summit; brothers, Stephen Brower of Factoryville; Dwight Isenberg of Maryland; John Lomax Jr. of Virginia; and Ralph Boyd Lomax of Philadelphia; nephews, Cory and Justin Brower of Factoryville; Nathan Brower of Olyphant; and Curtis Ryan of Pocono Summit; and niece, Samantha Ryan of Pocono Summit.
Graveside services will be Saturday 11 a.m. at Evergreen-Woodlawn Cemetery, located at the intersection of Capwell Avenue, Carpenter Road and Reynolds Street, by the Rev. Paul Fields II, chaplain of the Factoryville Volunteer Fire Company.
Friends may call Friday, 5 to 8 p.m., at Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes Inc., 33 Reynolds St., Factoryville, with a service of the Northeast FOP Lodge #63 at 7:30 p.m. All volunteer and paid emergency personnel are asked to meet at the Lackawanna Trail Elementary School parking lot, 179 Col lege Ave., Factoryville, PA 18419 to carpool to the funeral home. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr Lomax, I am overwhelmed by all the wonderful things I have read, and written about him.
He sounds like a true public servant, volunteer and a GENTLEMAN.
