Lucy Runco, 91, Scranton, died Monday morning at Regional Hospital of Scranton. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Frank Runco, on Dec. 12, 1963.

She was born in Dunmore, daughter of the late Guiseppe and Carmella Summa Coviello. Educated in Dunmore schools, she was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church, Scranton. She was a resident of North Plainfield, N.J., before moving back to Scranton. She was retired from the Globe Store in Scranton.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family very much. She was very religious and devoted to the St. Ann's Novena. She loved shopping very much.
She is survived by one daughter, Carmella and husband, Joseph Grushinski, Clarks Summit; son, John Runco, Scranton; five grandchildren, Joseph and Kimberly Grushinski, Clarks Summit; John Runco Jr., Scranton; Bobbi Grecco, Rochester, N.J.; and Angela Cleland, Wisconsin; seven great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Sam "Chub" Runco, Throop; and one sister-in-law, Mona Runco, Throop.
She was also preceded in death by sisters, Katherine Weiss and Bertha Coviello; one half-sister, Mary Esposito; two half-brothers, Rocco and Leonard Coviello; several step-brothers and sisters.
Funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home, 445 Sanderson St., Throop, with Mass at 9:30 at Holy Rosary Church, Scranton. Interment, Holy Family Cemetery, Throop.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
