John (Jack) Fallat, 87, died peacefully last Monday at his residence in Alexandria, Va.

Born in Dickson City, he was the son of the late John and Mary Sanko Fallat.

He was educated in the Dickson City school system, and graduated from the University of Scranton.

He was a WWII Navy veteran and retired from an accounting and fiscal career in the federal Civil Service. He spent his retirement as a volunteer at the Smithsonian Institution and with the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

He was a former member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, Olyphant.

He is survived by several relatives and dear friends and will always be remembered for his friendship as well as for his loving and caring nature.

A future memorial service will be held in Olyphant at a time and place to be announced. Arrangements by the Chipak Funeral Home, Dunmore, Eugene M. Turko, F.D.
