Gail A. Gaetano, 62, of Peckville, died Monday at Regional Hospital of Scranton. She was the wife of Leonard Gaetano. They had been married for 12 years.

Born in Geneva, N.Y., daughter of the former Evelyn Pratt, Geneva, and the late Edward Devaney, Gail was a member of Queen of Angels Parish in Jessup and was a high school graduate from Geneva. She served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. She worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Minnesota and for the U.S. Customs on the New York-Canadian border. Before her illness, she worked at the Lackawanna Health and Rehab Center. Gail's wish to have her corneas donated was fulfilled and the family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Regional Hospital for the care given to Gail.

Also surviving are three sons, Paul Krause and wife, Kika, Minnesota; Brian Krause and wife, Laurie, Peckville; and Leonard P. Gaetano and wife, Jackie, Ransom; a daughter, Sue Ann Karlavige and husband, Joseph, Peckville; four sisters, Cheryl Rodriguez, Minnesota; Janice Devaney, Geneva; Beth Hrim, Rome, N.Y.; and Lynn Gomez, Chandler, Ariz.; three brothers, Gary Devaney and Donald Devaney, both of Geneva; and David Devaney, Fredericksburg, Va.; five grandchildren, Brian, Christian and Joshua Krause, and Bryn and Timothy Karlavige; nieces and nephews; and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Alan Devaney.

The funeral will be Friday with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Queen of Angels Parish at St. Michael's Church, Jessup. Interment, St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow.

Friends may call Thursday, 4 to 7 p.m., at the Robert E. Decker Funeral Home, 702 River St., Peckville. Friends and family will meet at the church on the morning of the funeral.
