Marcella A. Baytala, 81, of Throop and Hillsborough, N.J., died Wednesday morning at home in Throop. Her husband, Stephen, died July 4, 2003.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Frank P. and Mary A. Rafalko Barbolish, she resided in Throop and New Jersey most of her life and was educated in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey school systems. Before retirement, she was employed by Kmart and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish at St. Anthony's Church, Throop.
Surviving are two daughters, Katherine Poslosky, Hillsborough; and Cynthia Costain, Bethlehem; a son, Stephen Jr., Bethlehem; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Saturday at 9 a.m. from the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home, 445 Sanderson St., Throop, with Mass at 9:30 in Blessed Sacrament Parish at St. Anthony's Church, 215 Rebecca St., Throop. Interment, St. John's Cemetery, Throop.
