Casey Cordova Obituary
Born June 13, 1995, in Honesdale, she was the beloved daughter and best friend of Moira (Kane) Cordova of Carbondale. Casey was a 2013 graduate of Connections Academy and also attended Carbondale Area High School, where she was a skilled cheerleader who was so graceful as a flier, soaring through the air. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale, and played Miss C softball at West Side Field, Carbondale. Casey had a knack for stealing bases and also people's hearts. She was a real jokester who brought joy and laughter to everyone near her, especially to all of her friends who meant the world to her. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her new nephew, Brody Vail, who was her pride and joy.
She is also survived by a sister, Tabitha Cordova, Carbondale; three brothers, Eddie, Andrew and Nicholas Cordova, all of Carbondale; nephew, Brody Vail, Carbondale; maternal grandmother, Helen Nielson Kane, Carbondale; aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Andrew J. Kane Sr., and maternal great-grandmother, Marie Young.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Farview and 41st streets, Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 N. Church St., Carbondale. Cremation will follow.

I moved a little to late to actually get to spend time with you at school and get to know you. I know for a fact that i have passed by you a few times and said "hello". Truth be told, hello is never truthfully enough of a way to decorate the way someone appeals to your mind. Casey you are beautiful, and with you gone the town is torn apart, a lot of people Still continue to social media Post about you being gone, and it hurts to see it . I still dont want to believe that i can't say hello. to you anymore, i wish i had the opportunity to actually meet you. Your missed desperately, fly high angel. Sleep peacefully.

Casey saying my goodbyes to you was the hardest thing I've had to do, my heart is broken. My whole family is so affected by this tragedy, you had your way of touching everyone's life. I'm so lucky to of had you as my bestfriend, I couldn't ask for anyone better then my case.?? You've left such an impact on my life, as well as SO many others. i already miss the snapchats of Brody you'd always send, the hilarious tweets that made me smile everyday, & expecially that beautiful smile & amazing laugh. Casey, Where do I begin? This is all just unbelievable. It was so sudden. When I heard, all I could do was think. I thought about how when we were in elementary school, you, Kaitlin, Ali and I were so inseparable it was ridiculous. We spent literally EVERYDAY together. Im sorry that we lost touch but as I look back I just smile. You were such a wonderful friend. We have so many memories, all of which I will NEVER forget. I love you Casey. Rest Easy and Soar High!
