Rose Marie Karwaski, 78, of South Scranton, died Monday morning in the emergency room of Geisinger Community Medical Center.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Claire Belardi Renaldi. A graduate of Scranton Technical High School, she retired as a phone specialist for J.C. Penney and was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Parish at St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Rose Marie was a loving mom, gramma and sister who enjoyed going to bingo, following the soap operas and loved going to church at St. Francis.
She is survived by a son, John Karwaski and wife, Christine, Old Forge; a daughter, Lisa Reidenbach, Scranton; five grandchildren, Kalie, Taylor and Ashley Reidenbach, Brittany and Jaden Karwaski; a great-granddaughter, Peyton Elizabeth; a brother, Joseph Renaldi and wife, Julie, Old Forge; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Lawrence, John and Patrick Renaldi; and two sisters, Annette Baldacci and Ann Renaldi.
The funeral will be Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the Edward J. Chomko Funeral Home, 254-268 Railroad Ave., Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Francis of Assisi Church, South Scranton, to be celebrated by the Rev. Scott P. Sterowski, pastor. Interment, Italian-American Cemetery, Minooka section of Scranton.
