John Martin Braden, 70, of Roaring Brook Twp., died Sunday at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. He is survived by his wife and love of his life, Charlotte (Brauer) Braden.
Born in Philadelphia, son of the late George and Florence (Clark) Braden, John proudly served in the Navy from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1964. He worked for Kodak Inc. as a lead environment manager and process engineer in its Allentown plant, retiring in 2000.
John's true joy came from time with his family and close friends. Whether it was traveling the world with Charlotte, attending his children and grandchildren's weddings, holding his great-grandchildren or tapping an Oktoberfest keg, he found true love and happiness with the people who loved him most. He touched many lives.
John is also survived by a brother, Kevin; a sister, Denise; five children; a niece; a nephew; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at noon at the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3 First St., Spring Brook Twp., by the Rev. Arthur Davis. Interment will be private.
A viewing will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
