Verna Wolfe Obituary
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late John and Jean Levandowski Skoritoski, she was employed by The Scranton Times before her retirement, and had previously worked at RCA, a General Electric Co., for more than 30 years.
She attended St. Peter's Cathedral and was a former member of St. John Vianney Parish at Corpus Christi Church, Montdale.
Surviving are two sons, Carl A. Wolfe, Benton Twp.; and Paul Wolfe, Woodbridge, Va.; a grandson, Mark J. Wolfe; a great-grandson, Landon J. Wolfe; a brother, Jack Skoritoski; a sister, Janet Greene; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Jean Macinski.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Peter's Cathedral, 315 Wyoming Ave., Scranton. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Sacred Heart Cemetery, South Scranton.
