Eleanor Nicholson Obituary

Eleanor Nicholson, West Scranton, died Sunday evening in the Scranton Health Care Center after an illness. She was the widow of Robert Morhing and Robert Nicholson.

Born in 1919 in Scranton, daughter of the late Joseph and Sadie Key Griffiths, she was a member of the 1939 class of Scranton Technical High School. She was a member of Trinity Congregational Church, West Scranton. Before her retirement, Eleanor worked for 41 years at Haddon Craftsmen as a book binder.

She was also preceded in death by brothers, John and Harold Griffiths.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Vanston and James Funeral Home, 1401 Ash St., Scranton, by the Rev. Jeremy Mullen. Interment, Washburn Street Cemetery.

Friends may call Friday from 9 until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Congregational Church, 229 S. Main Ave., Scranton 18504.
