Ronald G. Warren Sr., 83, lost his battle with COVID-19 complications on Jan. 26 at Geisinger Community Medical Center. He was the son of the late Willard and Lucille Newberry Warren. He was the loving and devoted husband to the former Marialice Higgins.
His first wife, the former Gloria Parker, passed in 1997. They had two children, Pam Warren Harmon, who passed in 2001, and Ronald Warren Jr., who passed in 2019.
He served his country in the United States Air Force where he earned the Good Conduct Medal (8/17/60) and the Air Force Longevity Service Award (9/26/60). He retired from AWI Wholesalers in 2011.
Ronnie led a life full of love: love of family, love of friends, love of country and love of animals. He loved to fish, hunt, golf and watch the Red Sox, especially when they beat the Yankees! He was a huge Notre Dame fan. He was the best dancer ever!
His blended family also included his children, Michael Grant (Carrie) and Jule Knezevich (Tim), who were thankful for his love, support and guidance over the past 21 years.
He has seven grandchildren, Shannon DiFonzo (Chuck), Stefani Ballard (Walter), Raymond Harmon (Michele), Philip Harmon, Christina Sorak (Anthony), Deanna Warren and June Knezevich. He also had four great-granddaughters, Rachel, Rebecca, Rylee and Rori Ballard.
He is survived by his siblings, Donald (Dee), Janice Fellion, Bette Reap (Frank), George, Jacqueline Senar, Allen (Mary Jane); his son-in-law, Ray Harmon (Sally); and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Robert, Phyllis, Marjane, Williard, Kenny and Nancy Masters.
