Dino & I met when we were together in the 15th Southwark Scout Troop - a very happy & informative time. We met again as neighbours in London in the late 60s but hectic business lives led us in different directions. RIP Dino

I met Dino many times whilst I was working at Sainsbury's Homebase head office as a training officer. I met him also at many of the Homebase store openings. Dino was always keen to listen to the views and ideas of store management and staff... He was a true retailer and a pleasure to work for.

I met Dino when he came to Homebase. I was the store manager of Homebase Croyden. Dino was a good man and a kind manager. I remember him well.

I first met Dino nearly 40 years ago when I was the manager of Sainsbury's in Bexleyheath.
He joined me from Head Office to learn about a store managers duties before taking over as a District Manager. I was amazed at his enthusiasm and intelligence, and was not surprised when at the end of his training he was sent to take over Homebase.....This was the start of a long friendship, which I relished over the years.
To Sue, Niki, Emma and families, I would say this....
We all lose family and friends....we lose them in death, to distance, and over time.
But even though they may be lost, hope is not. The key is to keep them in your heart, and when the time is right, you can pick up the bond right where you left off.
Even the lost find their way home when you leave the light on.
Thinking of you all.
Bryn Page.

Having worked with Dino on and since 1969, he was a real pleasure to work with, from dealing with accounts, setting up catering within Homebase, and latterly with the Veterans Association and lastly the Sainsbury Veterans Welfare Scheme. Dino will be greatly missed by the many of us who knew him, may he now be at peace. Special thoughts go to his family - Sue, Nikki and Emma
