To Edward's family, I should like to offer sincere condolences. He must have been quite a man to live with. His first two books have inspired me for the past 40+ years while I have lived on boats and sailed all over this glorious planet. I hope that many more people will continue to enjoy the books and realise how fully life can be lived, and what joy there is in the beauty of this world. How fortunate we were that he shared his stories. I've just bought the third book, but, sadly, have never read Clare's, who must be another very special person.
May your memories keep you warm and comfort you in the sadness of your loss.
