Lexington
Marilyn J. Light, age 81, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 at McLaren Port Huron Hospital.
She was born July 1, 1935 in Detroit, daughter of the late John and Marion (Bennett) Clugston.
Marilyn was the owner of the Town Shoppe in Lexington, was a member of the Lexington Business Owner's Association, and was instrumental in the creation of the Lexington Fine Arts Fair.
She is survived by 2 sons, David of Port Sanilac, and Daniel or Lexington; 2 brothers, Bill Clugston of Livonia, and John Clugston of Lexington; sister Leah Moir of Southfield; and 2 grandchildren, Breonna and Andrew Light
Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Monday, July 25 at the Pomeroy Funeral Home, Lexington. Pastor Barry Sheldon, St. Matthew Lutheran Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Lexington Cemetery.
Visiting 1-7 PM Sunday and 10-11 AM Monday.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

I'm sending my condolences to the family of Marilyn Light. I have wonderful childhood memories of Marilyn. She was very kind to me as a child & such fun. I will always have fond memories of her. My childhood was enriched with time spent with Marilyn & her family. Sending my thoughts & prayers to her family.
