Betty E. Golenberke, age 83, died Wednesday, February 12, 2014 in United Hospice Residence in Marlette
She was born March 17, 1930 in Croswell, daughter of the late Lloyd and Elsie (Parker) Henderson. Betty and Harry Golenberke, Sr. married September 26, 1953 in Port Sanilac. He preceded her in death July 21, 1977.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Croswell, and was in the Altar Society.
Betty is survived by her sons Harry (Patty), Michael (Sandy), David (Marilyn), and Daniel; daughters Nancy (Kevin) Ottinger, and Karen (Todd) Leach; sister Joan (Sanford) Albrecht; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brother Kenneth (Peggy) Henderson, and sisters Naomi (Donald) Sheldon & Bernadean (Gordon) Wagner, and a granddaughter Laura Leach.
Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Monday, February 17 at the Ave Maria Parish - St. Denis Catholic Church, Lexington. Fr. Donald J. Eppenbrock will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Croswell.
Friends may call at the Pomeroy Funeral Home, Croswell from 1-8 PM Sunday, and at the church 10-11 AM Monday. Vigil will be 4:00 PM Sunday.
Memorials may be made to United Hospice Residence in Marlette.
